Equation for multi-party negotiation:bargaining power = information gained + coalition formation. Last week, Diamond Bargaining Training took place under the baton of the Association of Negotiators. Radim Paris once again put us under extreme pressure through several hours of unique simulations in which we reached the edge of our possibilities.
It all started a few days before the training session, when we were assigned a simulation of multi-party negotiation for a total of seven parties with different interests and motives, which accompanied the behind-the-scenes negotiations and coalition formation. We were able to conclude the negotiations successfully only the next day. I thank my great team mate Věra Tůmová and the other participants in the bee training with Adam Dolejš, because you gave me a whole new perspective on negotiations. Another negotiation simulation put us under pressure again. There were few negotiating parties, little information, differing interests and motives not only individual parties, but also individual team members. The course of negotiations was turbulent, full of twists, new information, sweat and emotions. We negotiated until the evening hours. Our neuroplasticity has shaken at the foundations.
Thank you Radime for your ingeniously composed and guided training in which you showed us how to make diamonds from coal. Thanks for taking me far beyond my comfort zone and showing me my limits.

I have not experienced a better, tougher, but at the same time kinder coach. Probably a handicap from his profession as a professional negotiator - he fulfills the rule “be the nicest in the room” perfectly. I just wanted to give it a try. Unreal error and naivety!
Right after my first Rhetoric and Influencing training, I found out that I had not experienced better and more intense training... and that I was screwed (I would write in hell, but due to concerns about my role and status, I want to look decent). I knew that if I wanted to move forward a good chunk, if I wanted to get an advantage over any opposing side, I had to do some more Radim training. Therefore, if you do not want to suffer from addiction, do not want to learn from the best and want to always remain the best of others, do not go to Radim's trainings at all and block him on LinkedIn.
I didn't make it. I succumbed. I went through additional trainings up to FBI Commander®. And I do not regret a second of time, not a drop of sweat, not a single crown that I paid for workouts. During my career I have received many trainings both in the Czech Republic and in Germany. But I've never experienced anything like the one with Radim. If you know football, Radim Paris is like Jose Mourinho. Straight, open, tough. Not long after I started following Radim's work and read his book, I wanted to visit one of his negotiation training sessions. However, due to the high price of the courses, I could not still decide. Then came the opportunity to take part in a one-day profiling training session, and I didn't hesitate for a minute. The day before the start of the actual coaching within Radim's “FBI Negotiator” platform, I was wondering what the hell I signed up for again. However, I have experienced countless such trainings. What will someone tell me? Again, some backpacker comes along and pulls out his captured presentation that he copied somewhere and spins it around at every training session, presenting it as his own.
So I had no expectations and rather took it as an opportunity to get to know other participants, form a relationship and gradually sell them off, but a fighter entered the room, who at first did not come to me at all on my wave. A fighter with a strange aura... and it completely engulfed me. The whole thing was different than I expected. It was a toil perhaps greater than moving castle furniture. Radim is simply a personality that can captivate in the first seconds. His impeccable rhetoric and empathy and the art of negotiating is something that hopefully can't even be learned.
I have not experienced anything like this in training. We participants immediately became partners, immediately we were able to form strategies, could name a goal, were able to conduct complex negotiations and knew that we would not get it for free. I laugh at the very concept of education that Radim represents. Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of it. Radim is a top manager, a great negotiator, a fair mentor, an unreal expert and, I believe, a friend as well.

Trainings with Radim in the Association of Negotiators are always practical and intense. I learn a lot of things from them after each. I will not only learn, but I will actually teach. When I got my invitation to train for the Commanders, I didn't hesitate for a moment. I knew it was the best I could ever get (in Europe at least). This training really changes lives. I had the opportunity to be part of Radim's negotiating three-day training session, which was absolutely fascinating! It started with the FBI Negotiator, continued with rhetoric and gassing, and when he told me to “go to Commander, change your life,” he didn't hesitate for a second. Radim is a true professional in the first place, always prepared to do the utmost and to make every effort. At Commander we worked intensively for half a year, and in total we spent hundreds of hours preparing and working together. Nothing is free and nothing is a coincidence, the tasks have come to an end, always with time pressure.
