The Art of Negotiating Anything: Radim Pařík New Book Reveals the Successful Practices of the World's Best Negotiators
PRAGUE, May 14 - Radim Parík, president of the Association of Negotiators, today christened his new book “The Art of Negotiating Anything” with the subtitle “Negotiate Like the Best.” The role of godmother was assumed by the Chancellor of the President of the Republic, Mrs. Jana Vohralíková. Thus, the book was solemnly sent to the world today, on Sunday, May 14, on the last day of the World Book Fair 2023 in Prague's Holešovice Exhibition Centre. The book was published by Grada Publishing House on April 27, and these days it is already available on the shelves of bookstores and in book e-shops in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
It serves as a comprehensive guide to successful negotiation and is a significant source of information and advice for anyone interested in mastering negotiation. It explains the best strategies, tactics and techniques for effective communication used by the world's best strategic and police negotiators.
It deals with topics such as building trust, advises how to know when to put pressure on the other party and when to calm emotions, and how to create and fulfill a common agreement. It includes tips for negotiating with complex personalities, for recognizing and responding to negotiating tactics, and emphasizes the importance of preparation.
“The Art of Negotiating Anything” draws on the latest findings and trends in FBI and Mossad negotiation, underpinned by research from Harvard or Sankt Gallen universities and institutions such as MID or the Schranner Institute.
“Because I have always verified what works, even in the book I list only those strategies and tactics that are proven to work,” adds Radim Parík, one of Europe's top negotiators and a former top executive. And he adds that the book is aimed primarily at those who might be concerned that bargaining is beyond their powers. “The ability to negotiate improves people's lives and makes them feel much happier. This is a basic principle -- when you want something, say it, because otherwise you can't be surprised that you don't get it. “
Chancellor Jana Vohralíková added: “This book will help us build better relationships, have a happier life and also help us make the world a better place again. “
“From the moment we approached Radim Parik with a proposal for a book, the whole project has gained incredible momentum and the result is a really interesting popular science literature that does not match the worldwide bestsellers of authors like Joe Navarro. 'The Art of Negotiating Anything' is a unique book in Czech conditions and, moreover, by a Czech author, which was a motivation for us from the beginning,” says Šárka Kratochvílová, editor-in-chief of Grada Publishing House for Professional Literature.
Joe Navarro worked for 25 years as a counterintelligence special agent and human behavior adviser with the FBI. He retired in 2003 and has since been regarded as the world's leading expert on non-verbal communication. In October this year, he will present his experience for the first time in Prague at the Conference of the Association of Negotiators. The book “The Art of Negotiating Anything” by Radim Parik has also been published in electronic form, and an audio recording for the creation of an audiobook is scheduled for July this year. The print book “The Art of Negotiating Anything” was issued with catalog number 40165 and ISBN: 97880-271-2489-3 in 167×240 format. It has 224 pages and is published so far in Czech. Its electronic version was given the ePub and MOBI formats used in the Amazon Kindle with a data volume of 5.94 MB in the first case and 1.04 MB in the second, respectively.
Radim Parík is the most outstanding professional negotiator in the Czech Republic. He is a promoter of negotiation according to the principles of the FBI. In the field of negotiations, he cooperates with hundreds of Czech companies as well as business figures and top politicians. He says compromise in negotiation is evil, arguments don't work and win-win doesn't actually exist.
He has undergone negotiation training by the US FBI, is a graduate of the Harvard Negotiation Program. He founded the first Czech Association of Negotiators. At Radima Parik's Fascinating Academy, he develops people's abilities through rhetoric training, negotiation, manager development, and building healthy growing companies. He lectures at Czech and foreign universities.
Radim is the author of the books “Arguments Don't Work — New Testament Negotiation” and “Arguments Don't Work — 6:4 is the Minimum”.
